I had a flat yesterday but, since it was a slow leak, I pumped it up and made it safely to work. I didn't get to fixing it until this morning with a previously patched tire that had been stowed in the garage over the winter and after 2 hrs, the replacement tube is almost flat. I haven't taken it off to see if it is the old patch that is leaking but, nevertheless, I am wondering if anyone has any experience with patches deteriorating in the cold of winter.
I believe vulcanizing patches need to be ridden to "set" properly.
