Ride Share Apps

A lot of car-free folks, especially young people, are using ride share apps like Blah Blah Car and Uber to get around. I have the former on my phone, but I haven't used it yet. It seems to me these apps make a lot of sense. If someone absolutely must use a car to go somewhere, why not carpool and in that way pollute less and reduce our use of fossil fuels and CO2 emissions?

Well, our government in Madrid, pressured by the big coach and car companies, as well as by Big Oil, no doubt, are threatening anyone who dares to use these apps with big fines. Taxi drivers don't like this phenomenom, either.

Do any of you use these apps?
