Reinstalled wheels and chain and went for a short spin. This thing is the bomb!
Now I just need to install the new brake pads (one of the rear brake arms is sticky, so I'll have to figure that out) and I've got a rideable bike!!!
Of course, I want to get rid of the Schwinn seat and fine tune everything, but for a total current investment of $150, I've got a cool, safe, dependable cro-moly framed rigid mountain bike that will likely outlive me.....
I'll ride it a while and contemplate what to do about cosmetics. Do I want to try and source matching yellow paint and decals or just do a good, solid color paint job and call it good? Either way, I think I'll include the Peugeot decal on the downtube as a conversation starter.......
