Actually, I am just trying to understand why someone who wants drop bar extensions on a hybrid wouldn't just want drop bars, which are far more functional (can shift and brake from the drops) and aesthetically pleasing. As for suspension on a hybrid, I have strong views on that as well, but in general I agree. If you ride terrain so rough that you need suspension, then a mountain bike or 29er makes sense rather than a hybrid with suspension.
