I don't have any personal experience with either, but I have checked out the Fuji Feather at a local bike shop. I sort of like the entry level stuff in that it's fun to tinker with, i.e. learn how to break and fix things, and while being lots of fun you don't have to worry about them getting dinged, broken, or stolen.
