Hi, I am new to the whole bike scene... I was handed an old 20" bmx bike as my first, and it is not suited for me! I have to stand to ride comfortably, and even that is taking a toll on my wrists. I am looking for a decent bicycle to ride for fun, long journeys particularly in urban area (new york city) that can withstand wicked potholes and minor abuse (durability is a must!!). I am not too interested with having a million gears. Pretty much a bike I can do everything with. My budget is ~$600.
So I have come across two bikes with decent reviews (I do not know anything about bicycles)
