That's funny considering how awful I find Performance Bike, and how excellent I find Nashbar.
I find them both quite mediocre; Nashbar seems like a closeout place to me, whenever I go there looking for something they seem like they have random leftovers, like there are 6 sizes and they have two (usually "elfinly small" and "blue whale" for clothing). They usually have everything except specifically what I'm looking for.
Performance is significantly better in that regard, and the local Performance store is quite well stocked for an LBS in this area.
