Strip off the derailleurs and shifters, then either respace the axle for a usable SS chainline and redish the wheel to recenter the rim on the axle (usually not worth doing on older cheap wheels), or buy a singlespeed-specific wheel with 126mm spacing, and shorten your chain once the wheel is installed.
