Are these softer material than the actual dropout. I always found it disconcerting that the material on my hanger is actually thicker and more robust looking to the material on the dropout. So why is that the hanger is supposed to bend first. Or is that the dropout at the time of bending is pinned by skewer ? It is most disconcerting when you feel how much force is required with the Park Tool to re-tweak slightly the hanger.
