Just aim high, as higher end vintage mtbssell for maybe $25 to $50 more than their cheap brothers. Look harder, andthose numbers can be lower. For the additional $25/$50, you get A LOT more bike.
I hadn't even considered a MTB because I don't know anything about them except there's a boat load of the for sale on CL. Why do you recommend the MTB over a multi-speed cruiser?
