MikeOK,

I know what it feels like. Up here in NH, we have close to a foot and a half of snow, with more already forecasted on the way. Most trails are now covered too deep to have much fun, so I'm stuck on the snowmobile/rail trails that get more use in the wintertime. I just tried out my first attempt at a home-made studded tire yesterday and it worked great. The snowbanks are too big in most areas to even safely take out the road bike. I hope it melts fast in spring, but until then I'll just have to wait. It would be much easier with a new bike to build up though.
