I think what was missing from my cold weather clothing selection was just snow. The extra exertion from snow on the ground generates more heat, plus going slower reduces overall wind speed. Just when I thought I had all the factors for getting dressed figured out, in addition to temperature, wind speed, wind direction, now there is rolling resistance to consider.
