You seem to be blind about where the op says "Can I clip in a shimano a530 with the chrome shoes..." The OP never mentioned SPD-SL, that was your assumption/neglegence. You are confused about what SPD and SPD-SL are. OP did say he rides a roadie, but A530s are not an uncommon site on stock road/cyclocross bikes - you assumed he has SL pedals on the roadie and ignored my informing you that Chrome only makes SPD pedals (not SL). You also ignored where I explained the difference between said pedal types.

You got it yet?

Not sure why that needs its own thread...you just need to pay attention and stop assuming.

OP says he has these already:

notice the mtb SPD binding on both road pedals.
A PD A600 is not a road pedal in my book. There you go. We have different opinions. I see the PD A600 as a commuting/touring pedal. Sorry if you disagree, you've not had a good day.

So you quote part of what the OP wrote and leave out the part which says, in effect, "I have two pairs of shoes." I noticed that you did this before. The quote a segment but leave out the inconvenient parts that refute what you've written. It is most tiresome.

The SPD-SL cleat was NOT brought up by me. Go back and read it.

So, go on, read.
