[QUOTE=mattkime;13812889]wheels seem to be breeding in my apt and they need to be cleaned up.

the simplest method of hanging individual wheels are these guys -

but i'd like to be able to move the hooks. seems much classier

The hooks in you picture happen to be the choice of the most discerning cyclists. The fact is, that the steel hook absorbs vibration better than aluminum or carbon fiber and there is less fatigue on your wheels during a full day, or even week, or month while on the hook. Less fatigue on the wheel means that your wheel will be fresher when placed into service which will result in you being able to ride faster and longer while you ponder the unique and amazing "feel" provided by the steel hook that you will have difficulty describing to others, but you know it when you feel it. Also - carbon fiber hooks tend to self destruct without warning creating a hazard to your wheels and aluminum is just to harsh and should be dismissed out of the box (unless you intend to race, then harsh feel of aluminum race hooks is an acceptable trade off so as to prevent damage to your high end steel or carbon fiber hooks during the very real possibility of a crash that comes with racing).

Good Luck with your decision!
