The pathways around Calgary are what I have missed somewhat since moving to Cochrane and will continue to miss when we move to Victoria. They are extensive and can get you far around the city with barely any surface route requirements. Honestly, it's worth sharing with the other users.
Additionally, the surrounding country roads are excellent too, if you can avoid the odd ******* driver who guns for you (although those are rare and luckily in my limited experience, I've never encountered one myself).
