I had that biopsy a few years ago. I took the day off from work, and my wife drove me to the procedure, but IIRC after that I was back to normal. I was back on my bike the next work day. Of course, my commute isn't 50 miles, and I suspect your doctor will tell you not to do such a long ride for a couple weeks. But I'd probably do it.
