In the past, the Speed P8 had double-wall rims and the Speed D7 had single-wall rims. If that's still the case, that factor alone argues for purchasing the P8 (especially at 230 pounds). I strongly recommend purchasing from ThorUSA if you are buying on-line or mail order.
