That's a pretty short service span! Did it get submerged?

Sometimes not-so-parallel BB shell faces can wreck BB bearings fast, so you might check that also.
Why would you still need a crank remover with self-extracting bolts being so readily available? And they can be had in Ti too. For your inner weight weenie.
