Details are scant on the history of the frame. I know that a Google search of "Ron Nelson" shows that he still Master's class races. I got the frame from Velosport in Berkeley in ~2011. @gaucho777 put it on the "Are you looking for" thread if memory serves.


I've spent the time since gathering parts. A mix of Record and Super Record. Not period perfect, but as it might have been updated. The Bicycle Stand in Long Beach built the wheels-Record hubs with CR-18 hoops. The clinchers are a nod to my lack of tubular skills and the desire to ride the bike. The gearing means that it will be for less hilly rides-still looking for a nice 52T SR chainring, it's a 50T on there now.


No ride report yet. Waiting for roads to dry. It's killing me....


I'll take some better pics with a real camera and post them to this thread once the drizzle stops.
