strange memory: the suicycle.
i remember living in portland and coming to boise for a little while. when i returned to portland, i didn't have a bike, but had a friend with several. one night, a bunch of us headed for a show. everyone else grabbed a bike before me...i was out getting beer for the show or something. the only one left was the suicycle, as we called it. it was a freewheeled singlespeed with no brakes and handlebars six inches wide. i carried the beer to the show, stopping the rear wheel with the sole of my right shoe, cursing my dickhead friend the whole way for making that monstrosity.
random memory. and it has to do with a (poorly conceived) singlespeed!
