You need to let a year pass, so there is time to rebuild the highway bridges, to see that part of the coast.

Or ride to the closure, then back and around, and then ride up to the closure from the other end, stay at the Raggd Point Inn (I did once, it was great), and then ride south from there. I haven't done the ride since 1988, but if I were to do it again this summer, that is how I would do it so as not to miss out on the best part.
