Newer totally trust other peopels "best" lists but take a look at the bikes they present and try to decide what is best for you. It is my impression that you do not know enough about folding bikes to spend the kind of money you are planning on spending. You should read some more and ride some bikes before you decide. Maybe buy a second hand Dahon speed 8 and ride it for some time. When you decide what you are not happy about (if anything) you can spend some more on your next bike (and maybe sell the first one for the same price as you payd for it).
