Any soft soled shoe like the Converse Allstars mentioned ealier should be good on a platform pedal with studs. I use LA Gear walking shoes because they look simular to dress shoes, so I can wear to work.
A smoother sole is good with studs and the soft sole allows the studs to grip better. A hiking tread can catch too well during an emergency situation.
