I picked up an Austo-Daimler recently which was made in Austria along with the Puchs.
Mine has 531 tubing and rides great. A fellow in our club has a Puch with Shimano 600 Arabesque components, one of the thier higher end bikes that I lusted for since the first time I saw it.

I know Puch made motorcycles and I'm pretty sure made some lower end bikes of good quality for Sears.
