Sitting on my bike today and thinking:
wheels spinning around
flying past automobiles
the bike is freedom
formerly fat guy
astride gleaming machine
fueled by sweat alone
rotten opossum
squashed snake, beloved family pet
all lie still by road
I spin cranks smoothly
wheels roll forward straight and far
Cappucino after
I love my helmet
it protects my cranium
from substantial harm
