Bikes: a mountain bike with a cargo box on the back and aero bars on the front. an old well-worn dahon folding bike

What I do is just check the backpack (1) whenever asked or (2) if there's a prominent sign
I don't mind checking my backpack, but I never do it unless specifically asked by a person. Very rare occurrence.
