Same way I deal with being a research scientist. And presumably you (peregrine) do, too, seeing as you're a research scientist, also. I learn to set aside annoyances very quickly and not let them affect me. It doesn't mean to not be careful or not learn from the past, though. On the Pie ride, our paceline trying to rush back on a section of very narrow road with no shoulders and a 65 MPH speed limit was buzzed by a few large pick-ups with inches to spare. And we were harrassed by other motorists who purposely used their windshield wiper fluid just after passing us. It's scary when it happens, and it sucks. Be careful out there, but as long as you can stay safe, don't allow annoying people to get to you.
