Oh lordy. I'll bet they do not do that post 9/11. Security would call the bomb squad to blow the suspicious tarp (and bike) apart from a safe distance. I can usually find an outside place that provides adequate shelter on the short term. For jobs that last weeks and months I have always been able to arrange inside parking. A large part of why I car drive on the first day of a new assignment is to find good bike parking. That and commuting on a high end purpose built touring bike that has good seals. I only cover the leather saddle.
