Milwaukee vs. Planet X

I am considering two bikes...The Milwaukee Bicycle Company Orange One (made by Waterford) and the Planet X Kaffenback. I used to ride mountain bikes. Then I moved to my current home of lovely Philadelphia, sold my mountain bike and bought an old school Benotto road bike. I loved that, but ended up breaking the frame so now I need a new bike. I want something inbetween the two. I want something that rides like a road bike when I'm cruising around the city, but that I can take to the trails of Fairmount park when I want. I don't plan on doing any racing, and probably won't be doing much wet weather trail riding so I think both will have adequate tire clearance. I will probably use it to weave in and out of traffic 90% of the time, and go out on the trails 10%. The planet X can be geared, but I would probably build them both up as a singlespeed anyway. The planet X is a good bit cheaper for the frame/fork, but I am more attracted to the Milwaukee. I'm a sucker for good looks and I like the Mil's aesthetics more and the fact that it is hand made here in the US. Thoughts? Opinions?
