I have one like that and like it for long term parking of the bike or for doing some simple der adjustments (it lifts the rear wheel nicely). But for a quick 'park it and walk away' or an equally quick grab and go, it's not so convenient. It takes a little fiddling to get it in just the right position under the BB.
I think a simple right triangle made of 2x3 stock, sized to fit the wheel should do nicely.
