Well yes, if it fit. I have a 7 3/8 hat size and in all my years have not found a cycling cap that fit. Food is good. In food bars I stick with the Original Formula PowerBar - Malt/Nut. Maybe let the pre-registered people start 5 minutes early?
For past events I loved the bike stage of a triathalon in San Clemente, CA. At a water stop staff handed up full Pepsi-logo water bottles. Most of the racers took a drink and ditched the bottles around the next corner. A local with a pick-up could have had hundreds of botles. I was doing an unsupported 200K and could only fit about 8 bottles in my panniers. Coming back north from San Diego I found an understaffed rest stop where a ~30 lb. bin of energy drink powder had been left open. Filled all of my empty bottles with the mix
