You might want to head to the western part of the state if you want some more scenic and rural areas to ride in; although after BMB, I'm sure you'll have quite the fill of scenic and rural. Perhaps I'll see you on the route . Boston itself is pretty neat.....lots of great restaurants, plenty of historic sites, etc.....but not a city I'd wanna ride my bike in (unless it's 5 a.m. and no traffic on the roads). You would probably enjoy riding in the Berkshires, and then taking Rte. 7 down into the northwestern part of CT and exploring some of those roads. Kinda hilly, but you would probably enjoy it.
