What is the white stuff??

Well, I awoke at 03:00hrs to a chill in the air and the smell of rain. "Ahhhhh yeaaaaaah!!! Gonna be a good ride!!" Filled the hydration pack, pound down some cowboy coffee and slip on the riding gear. Then I walk out onto the balcony and to my surprise I see something unusual and foreign to these parts, funny looking white stuff covering the hills. "Did something explode?" I thought. Then it dawned on me, we have SNOW!!! It was truly going to be an epic ride even if it was a short one due to time constraints.

For those that might know the area, this is a shot of Oat Mtn on the NorthWest end of the San Fernando Valley

Sorry no trail pics, my camera is a bit to bulky to be lugging out onto trail and the route I was taking would have ruined the camera if I bailed. I should probably invest in a cheepy camera.
