I have a similiar thing here. The area has frequent wine festivals for $5 to $50 dollars. Either I already have one of the needed souvenier wine glasses (in which case I can taste the wine) or I pay a minimal fee for a wristband indicating that I am a designated drive. No wine of course just lots of free food. It is like a century ride with tri-tip and snacks every mile or so. Sometimes my non-riding wife follows me with her car and carries home the bottles of wine we decide to buy. The best food is at the Sunce Winery on Olivet just south of Piner.
