So should the threaded collar be snugged up to the seatpost? There was a slot on the internal portion of the male portion of the seatpost (the damping rod), but it looked like the threaded collar was what set the preload when I looked at it. It sounds like you're suggesting using the damping rod adjustment to set the preload, and then snug down the threaded collar - am I right? And thanks for the help!
