An update and closure to this thread, with a happy ending no less
. Went to one of the LBSs in town and asked them if they knew what oil was used in the trainers. Nope, but they called the distributor to ask. Nope, but they told me to call CycleOps rather than email them like last time. Gave them a ring up and asked about the oil, they said it was proprietary and asked why I needed oil. Told them about my leaker, they said send just the resistance unit in and gave me an RMA number. A week later arrives a brand new Fluid2 resistance unit, woohoo! Not bad for a $10 investment
