Yeah I have an American friend and half our conversation time seems to invlove explaining what we mean by such-and-such a word.
Eg. Americans say "county", Australians say "shire", the list goes on and on...
For the record: I think of a "wheelie" as a lifting the front wheel just a little bit, and not balancing, and a mono as lifting the front wheel and sustaining it through pedalling.
