I couldn't agree more.
Personally, I think that all stop sign should be replaced with yield signs, placed prior to crosswalks. I fail to see any way that society benefits from all vehicles coming to a complete stop all of the time. It just makes more sense to proceed with caution, and only stop when vehicle or pedestian traffic dictates.
