THis thread is the most inspiring thing I've read all day. I to am on the lose weight/get healty ride. I'm turning 44 in a couple weeks and although I'm not where i want to be weight wise. I'm ALOT healthier than I was in my 30s. I hit the gym all winter and started riding again 3 days ago. I did 15 miles on my 1st time out and was pleasently suprized at my endurance. Although I took it easy, there still only one way to get up the hills. I'm 6' weight lifter type and was up to 309 3 years ago. Lost about 50, gained about 30 back. I'm now heading back in the right direction. My goal is 250 by the end of summer, then go for 230. I just love riding.
