Proteus Bicycles is the best bike shop I have ever been to. they have gone above and beyond what anyone would expect from a bike shop. since I started bicycling and bike commuting last September, they have been friends and a support system for me (a new bicyclist) as well as a bike shop. so I thought I would show my appreciation for them in a thread.
their staff is really dedicated and they really care about their customers getting a quality product and having a good experience on a bicycle... they are probably the most community-oriented bike shop I have ever seen... they even have community potluck dinners every Thursday night! it's awesome... how many LBSes do that?
as far as I'm concerened they are the model for what bike shops should be.
