There are no incompatabilities between Centaur and Record, say using a Centaur crank and front derailleur and a Record rear derailleur and hub, or using Record or Chorus shifters and Centaur derailleurs. The brakesets all work interchangably as well.

The length required of the bottom bracket spindle is longer for Centaur doubles and triples, Chorus and Record Triples than for Chorus and Record doubles and Carbon cranksets of Centaur, Chorus and Record.
Some also require assymetrical spindle lengths and others not. This might make for incompatibility in switching from one line's crank to another.
