Actually, the claim would be handled through Trek, Lemond's parent company if the part was oe(believe it is) and it's with a year of purchase from the dealer. But your claim will be vetted by the dealer first who hears the jra cliche all the time(as in, "I was just riding along when(insert story here)"...)
