But don't avoid Sligo Creek Parkway. PPTC does a nice ride called "Beach to Creek" that starts at Pierce Mill and goes up Beach Drive and back down Sligo Creek. Uses Maple Avenue in Takoma Park to climb out of the creek valley.
Got it. Very cool and thanks! I see that ride listed on PPTC and it sounds like a good one. I guess id say im a CC (?) rider? Dont really know. I know im usually alittle faster than most people ive ridden with, and Im usually keeping up w/ some of the more "serious" looking cyclists ( if you know what I mean) on the trails around here, and passing quite a few people.
I can tell you I wouldnt enjoy a bumpy ride because I have no suspension on my trek. The smoother, the better for me. Regardless, I think ill check out the "Beach to Creek" ride at some point this spring / summer.
