he said i had to remove the longer piece of rubber and cut off the smaller part (it is creased where it is supposed to be cut) then reinstall putting the larger piece back on and not using the smaller piece that i cut off. I did this and mounted it again. I don't really understand it because you figure the more rubber under it the tighter the fit, but it did allow me to put it on tighter. I still need to use the little strap that came with it to ensure that the locking piece does not come undone. it seems to be very tight now. I can still move it up and down, but it requires a LOT of force.... it should be fixed... I will let you know how it goes over the next few days. It definately seems tight enough now that it won't move by itself again.
