Like most others, I bought a pair of padded gel. Ugh! Felt like a full diaper must feel. Lumpy, bunched up, unstable, squishy. Heavy weight quality material that fits firmly and tightly feels supportive while riding...hence, sad to say, some of the more expensive shorts seem to be almost worth the money.
