He wanted to win, not just ride this race of tactics where he just tried to keep the jersey and keep an eye on the competition. I think Landis is great- but if he'd been more cold and calculating, he might be in a very different situation than he is right now.

I hope he fights and gets as much out of it as he can, and then some.
