It was 108 in the San Fernando Valley today, so I drove over to Pt Mugu and rode along the ocean. It was so hot there, and wind off the ocean felt like a blast furnace. I've never experienced that in over 40 years frequenting the area. When I got home at 9 PM this evening the local temperature was 101...in the pitch dark. Amazing.
