i'm in vineland as well, have 2 bikes from beacon (bikeE 'bent and raleigh mtb).
check out the South Jersey Wheelmen (SJW) bicycle club based here in Cumberland county (with rides in capemay, salem, gloucester counties as well). you can get a discount from purchases from beacon as a SJW member.
is you bicycling style for road, cross, or mtb? will you "drive" your bike, or are you sidewalk bound? don't forget your helmet. test drive many to find what works best for you! buying a well maintained used bike is another option.
cool places for mtb around here are Parvin State Park, Gloucester County College, and Mantua Park.
