[edit] Actually I've been freaking out about blood pumpers recently. I was reading up on Aortic_dissection today. And I found out the other day that a chick I just met who's 30 has a cholestorol level of 7 and is on medication to control it (that has some side effects). Her dad died at 39. The human body sucks when you read up on it. Makes me want to never get out of bed.
My aggregate cholestrol level has been >7.5mmol/l since I was a teenager. So has my dad's, and he's nearly 80. We're just very efficient at both absorbing and making the stuff. The thing is that the balance of LDL to HDL is decent. When my doctor asks if I've had a lipid count recently I can only laugh and ask him to get over it.
