Maelstrom: My point was, Norco's wheels are specifically made. It wouldn't cost much more to just put something stronger like the S-type's or MTX on instead of Singletracks. I've seen 3 singletracks broken this season alone, and countless on the internet. You had yours on a bighit, it has rear suspension. It's not as taxing on wheels as hardtails are. And I also assume the singletrack was 24", which would be stronger, would it not?
